# Cookies Notice

Last updated 2026-10-29.

**Draft for review.** This page is a draft for review by the founder and a solicitor before launch. It is not yet in force and may change.

We use one essential cookie, to keep you signed in. Under the UK PECR, a cookie strictly necessary for a service you have asked for needs no consent banner. We use no advertising or marketing cookies, and no third-party trackers.

## The cookie we set

| Name | Purpose | Duration |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `__Secure-better-auth.session_token` | Keeps you signed in to the dashboard | 7 days from your last visit, or until sign-out |

## What your browser keeps for the site

These are kept in your browser's own storage, not sent with every request, and never shared with anyone else.

| Name | Purpose | Kept |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `pads.first_touch` | The page you first arrived on and the link or campaign that brought you, sent with your signup only | Until you clear it |
| `pads.anon_id` | A random id, so the visit before you signed up joins your account | Until you clear it |
| `pads.docs_lang` | The code language you picked in the docs | Until you clear it |
| `pads.tier_intent` | The plan you chose before signing up, so you land on it after | Until used |
| `pads.agent_claim` | An AI agent's claim link you opened, until you sign in to claim it | Until used |
| `pads.signin_method` | How you chose to sign in, for this tab only | Until the tab closes |

## Analytics

We count visits and how the site is used with PostHog, hosted in the EU, through our own domain. Session recording is off and IP addresses are discarded. PostHog keeps a random visitor id in your browser so a visit is counted once. Ad blockers and your browser's privacy settings can turn it off, and the site works the same without it.

## Changing your preferences

You can clear cookies and site data for our domain at any time in your browser. Doing so signs you out of the dashboard and forgets the choices above.
